Loire gardens tour

You’ll be based in the lovely, historic town of Amboise for your Loire valley gardens tour. The town is dominated by the royal chateau which you’ll visit with its stunning gardens overlooking the Loire river. You’ll also discover the Chateau du Clos Lucé, the last residence of Leonardo da Vinci with its romantic, bucolic gardens filled with artworks and fascinating designs by the great Renaissance man.

Villandry, a masterpiece of formal gardens, the stunning Chateau of Azay le Rideau and the Chateau of Chaumont where the most important garden festival in France takes place from April to October are all on your schedule.

And, it doesn’t end there. You’ll also visit the ancient Chateau de Chinon, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud and the extraordinary Chateau le Rivau with its fairy tale gardens, complete with a Rapunzel like tower.
