I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and of course it is time for me to wish you all a Bonne Année – a very Happy New Year from France!
This is our last newsletter of 2013 and what a year it has been. We’ve been joined by lots of talented writers and have an expat expert in almost every region of France writing about where they live and what there is to see and do; sharing their experiences and their knowledge and making The Good Life France a truly dynamic web magazine…
We’ve brought you practical guides on travel, utilities, healthcare, working, technology, finance and lots more. From how to economise on your hot water costs to the newest and best options for telephone and internet in France, how to get married and how to get divorced, great offers for travel and a monthly Euro forecast – hundreds of articles to help you…
I’ve eaten cakes and chocolates, mussels and chips and all sorts of wonderful culinary and gastronomic delights so that I can review and report back (worked my fingers to the chocolate bar you might say!)… and we’ve published lots of wonderful recipes, checked out restaurants and quizzed celebrity chefs…
We’ve reviewed books and interviewed authors from Joanne Harris (Chocolat) to Carol Drinkwater (The Olive Farm series) and given away lots of books…
We’ve featured French icons, music and film; we’ve talked to artists and musicians and looked at what makes up French style from fashion to interior design…
We’ve interviewed expats in France and those who’ve set up businesses, had guest posts from serial renovators, property experts and gite owners who have all been happy to share their experiences and lessons learned…
I’ve travelled all over France, taken part in festivals and shows, visited chateaux and gardens and museums and immersed myself in the culture of this wonderful country so that I can give you a flavour of what France is all about and how much there is to see and enjoy.
Next year we’ll be bringing you more stories, features and interviews, special offers and information articles – rest assured our New Year’s resolution here at The Good Life France is to continue to entertain, inspire and inform you – our lovely readers.
