Cyclists will love this Loire Valley bike ride with a difference.
For one weekend each June, thousands of visitors arrive in the beautiful village of Anjou for fun and festivities. Retro dressing up is encouraged and there are artists and exhibitions galore.
You’ll find a vintage bicycle exhibition, friperie sales (second hand clothes), a retro bistro, bric-a-brac market and vintage bike parts, a swing and jazz party and the concours d’élégance fashion show.
Cycling routes ramge from 30-130km and take in the fabulous scenery of the Loire – castles, troglodytes and vineyards, a superb landscape which is listed in the UNESCO world heritage list.
Everyone is welcome to join and register for the rides – you can do it before hand on the internet or on the day – last year 1400 cyclists from around the world arrived and had the time of their lives.
Cycling in France has never been such fun!
