Poisson d'Avril

Happy Poisson d’Avril to you all and I hope that you had a lovely Easter…

We’ve updated our look! The website that is, not the hairdos or make up of the team members!

We’ve made it faster, fresher and fancier – but still fun, fabulous and full of fantastic photographs!

We’ve also been working hard to bring lots more useful information on the daily essentials of life to help those living in France or planning to live in France. From banking to insurance, currency exchange to mortgages and much more – over the next few weeks we will be publishing lots more information, advice and answers to questions we’ve received that may help others. We want you to feel that if you have a question about living in France, then The Good Life France will be able to help you.

If you want to know something about financial matters in France and we haven’t got the answer on our pages then please email me and I will get you an answer – we  really want to help .

We’ll be working on all aspects of daily life not just financial, we’ll also cover healthcare, technology, utilities and services, education, driving and working in France and we are building a panel of experts to support us. We want to be your one stop shop so please let us know what you’d like to see on our pages that will help you.

All this hasn’t stopped us bringing you lots of great fun features about France:

How about a 2cv rally through the “Most Beautiful Villages in France “(officially!), a visit to the fabulous Chateau of Vaux-le-Vicomte and its Le Nôtre designed gardens, the beautiful Chateau du Thoiry, designed to capture the sun rising in all its glory on the summer solstice and with an amazing wildlife park in the private grounds…

Read about British expats Caroline and Chas who swapped their corporate lifestyle in London when they found their dream home in the Lot and opened a gite and restaurant…

We bought you a Josephine Baker video picked by our French radio station partner Paris Chanson, a profile of Honoré de Balzac with his oh so romantic and tragic personal love story and we explained what Poisson d’Avril is all about!

Discover the fabulous International Kite Festival at Berck (an hour from Calais) or the Festival of Steam at St Valery (90 minutes from Calais). We’ll be looking for more great prices on your behalf going forward…

We’d love to hear your feedback, suggestions, comments and ideas for what you’d like to read about here in The Good Life France online magazine,

I’m all ears!

A bientôt

Janine
