The interior of Provence is a land of colour, the deep reds of ochre cliffs, purple lavender and golden sunflower fields and azure blue skies. There are vineyards, mountains, castles and perched villages. With gorgeous markets in stunning towns, fields where melons grow, cherry and apricot orchards scent the air it’s a place where the warm climate relaxes the mind and the body.

Le Four gite in Bedoin, a rural hamlet is perfect for a relaxing get away in the sun. The family who own this pretty little holiday home have been cultivating the vines for centuries so they’re sure to be able to give you tips on the best local wines. With a swimming pool, private garden, scenic views and everything you want from your temporary home from home, this is hard to beat. If you dream of rural Provence, the sound of sheep bells gently ringing from the hills and village life, you’ll love Le Four.

Fall in love with the Lot

Dramatic gorges, magnificent rivers picturesque villages and lush landscapes – there’s lots to love in the Lot. History fans will enjoy the ancient towns and Cathar castles. St Cirq Lapopie is one of the most picturesque villages in France where you’ll feel as if you’re in a cloud it’s so high up. This is an unspoiled, largely undiscovered and absolutely charming area of France.

Stay in a converted barn with oak beams and stone walls typical of the area in fabulous Fajoles around 40km from famous Cahors, the capital of the Lot. Sit on gite Le Noyer’s terrace or in the private courtyard sipping local wines enjoying the sunset, the last rays glinting off a small lake in the garden.
