Everything You Want to Know About France and More...

The Good Life France podcast is on the way!

It’s starting to feel very normal in France (July 2022) which is wonderful after the last couple of very challenging, restrictive years. When I was in Bordeaux last week, it was clear that visitors are returning in numbers though I still felt it wasn’t as busy as usual for this time of the year.

And as I write this, I have one eye on the weather forecast for my trip to Paris, Beaune and Dijon in Burgundy this week as the weather has been a bit iffy with a fair bit of rain and some big thunderstorms. I’m going to explore rue Mouffetard, one of the oldest streets in Paris. I’ll have dinner in the 600 year-old Kings Chamber at the Hospices de Beaune (a former hospital) with some nuns. Plus, I’ll visit several top vineyards (some from the air – my first time ever in a helicopter). And I’m going to tour the newly opened International City of Gastronomy and Wine venue in Dijon – French food heaven!

I’ll post photos and video as I go on social media especially Instagram. And of course I’ll be writing about all these visits in an upcoming issue of The Good Life France Magazine (access the latest issue here, totally FREE).

And more news – The Good Life France podcast is on the way! I’ll be talking about my life in France – Bread Man says he wants to say hello to you all! – with my many animals and quirky neighbours. I’ll also have guests and I’m thrilled that we have several truly special people who’d love to chat about Paris, France and the French way of life. So if you know a podcast fan, feel free to share this newsletter with them and tell them to subscribe to it so they don’t miss the updates!

Bisous from somewhere in France,

ps The lavender is out in France – if only we had sniff-o-vision or could step into that top photo of the lavender blooms at the Abbey de Senanque in Vaucluse in Provence…
