Lavender flavoured cookies

A delicious recipe for Lavender Drop Cookies. Enjoy a taste of the Provence with these simple to make treats.

Makes 24 cookies


1/2 cup (125 ml) butter
1 cup (250 ml) sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Vanilla Extract
2 tsp (10 ml) Lavender Essence
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) flour
2 tsp (10 ml) Baking Powder


1. Preheat oven to 375° F (190° C).
2. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and Vanilla Extract.
3. Stir in Lavender, flour and Baking Powder. Drop half teaspoon-sized amounts onto a Parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 8 – 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
4. Allow to cool slightly on baking sheet before removing.
