In a situation mirroring the plot of horror film Snakes on a Plane (2006), as passengers settled down for the Paris-Marseille train journey on Saturday night they relaxed in comfort little knowing that somewhere on the train a two metre long snake had somehow escaped from the bag its owner was carrying it in.
Eventually the snake’s owner noticed his pet had gone AWOL and alerted the guard on the train who decided to wait until Marseille was reached when specially trained pompiers (fire fighters) boarded and searched high and low for the escape artist.
A happy reunion ensued between the snake, the owner and the snake’s partner which decided to stay in the bag for the journey.
