Van Cleef & Arpels at Musée les Arts Decoratifs, Paris

The Musée Les Arts Decoratifs in Paris has a wonderful, enormous and eclectic collection of items dedicated to French style and the art of living. They put on several exhibitions a year. One of their finest was a stunning exhibition dedicated to jewellery from the legendary company Van Cleef & Arpels .

The exhibition “L’Art de la Haute Joallierie” will consist of a display of numerous archive drawings and pieces from their collections.  The daring creations of this iconic house are on show in wonderful surroundings showcasing 400 pieces of beautiful jewellery produced over the decades since the company began in 1906. Amongst the many amazing samples represented at the show are the collar zip suggested by the Duchess of Windsor and built in 1951.

The museum also has 4000 exhibits in its permanent jewellery display.
