Easter is, of course, all about the chocolate! So, what is your guilty pleasure? A large bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk, a bag of their caramel nibbles or their giant chocolate buttons perhaps? Or maybe your weakness is Tunnocks Tea Cakes, Wagon Wheels or a sneaky bag (or two) of Maltesers. Bacon by the Box have a great range of chocolate and sweet treats so you can quite literally pick a bit of what you fancy!

Easter lunch – entente-cordial style…

Easter wouldn’t be Easter without lamb! So how about a premium cut of rolled lamb shoulder, a leg or lamb shanks from Lisduggan Farm bursting with Irish spring flavour and crying out to be studded with French garlic and rosemary before a long, slow roast in the oven? For a taste of French-Irish fusion, include thesweetest of all carrots, Vichy carrots (gently braised in suger and butter) and seasonal asparagus drapped in a simple Holiandaise sauce. And why not serve with Pommes Anna, that classic French potatoe dish of sliced potatoes cooked in lashings of butter. And did you know that some recipes for Pommes Anna include black truffle, artichoke or cheese to add that extra flavour of France?  All washed down with a bottle of Bordeaux (Saint-Émilion perhaps), a Southern Rhône or a savory Loire Valley Cabernet Franc.

And relax. Life doesnt get much better than this.

The Breakfast of champions

If you fancy going the full hog, add a pack or two of bacon or a cooked honey glazed gammon for a great English breakfsat or French baguette lunch.
