Disneyland Paris Adventureland is home to the Pirates of the Caribbean area but without a doubt the most popular ride here is the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril – huge queues!
We really liked the fact that this area is so interactive for children who love the larger-than-life scenery. It was not the busiest area, plenty of places to sit and rest your weary feet here while the kids can muck about in various playgounds – it’s a bit of a mishmash of Disney favourites but really impressive – especially the boats.
Attractions of Adventureland
Pirates of the Caribbean – I’d have really liked this one if Johnny Depp had been there but had to settle for the ride on which you may well get splashed.
Adventure Isle – bridges and secret passages – this looks really impressive and kids were going wild indicating a great deal of enjoyment pretending to be their hero rather than sitting on rides being entertained and a chance for them to let off steam.
La Cabane des Robinson – (Swiss Family Treehouse) – Basically an adventure playground where kids can run about, climb and generally go wild. Most of the kids I spoke to didn’t know who the Swiss Family Robinson were but it didn’t seem to matter that much. Small children will need to be accompanied here.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril – a fast ride and not for children. There is a height restriction on this one of 1.4m. It’s a popular ride so utilise the FastPass option to avoid queuing.
Aladdin’s Enchanted Passage – tame depiction of a miniature Aladdin and his genie’s world
Pirates Beach – another playground where kids can enjoy running and climbing.
Captain Hook’s Pirate Ship – climb on board and see your favourite characters – great for little ones.
